A new kind of fever is coming and it is not that kind of bad
fever, it is actually a good fever. For all lovers of African fabrics and Ankara
fabrics especially should gear up because a festival is coming that will
showcase the best of African fabrics.
The organizer, George Obodozie is packaging the best kind of
exhibition that will feature Africa fabrics producers meeting face to face with
retailers and even end-line users. The show will be a 3 day event which will
feature best African entertainers.
The organizer spoke to me two days ago and he excitedly said “Lagos
Ankara carnival/festival will be a day exhibition show with target participants which
would be makers and dealers of Ankara Materials and so on.” He went on to elaborate that, “International
and Our Indigenous Fashion Designers will be in attendance and even the
Accessory Makers with Ankara materials like shoe and bags will also get the opportunity to exhibit their products.”
This is a welcome innovation so write down the date
because you need to be there: 5th to 7th of December 2014. The 5th
will be for fashion show, 6th is the carnival and on the 7th is the Ankara
concert where celebrities will perform all cladded in Ankara uniforms. It will
be spectacularly awesome.
