MTN Abuja Office is under Attack! #Xenophobia Reprisal

Sources have revealed that a planned attack on South Africans residing and doing business in Nigeria is in the pipeline. Angry Nigerians, yesterday, stormed the South African High Commission in Abuja, threatening to shut down South African companies in Nigeria over xenophobic attacks against foreigners in South Africa, including Nigeria.

As of press time, Students from University of Abuja have stormed the MTN office in Abuja to stage a protest and according to feelers that we are getting, it is getting out of hand. The police and other security agencies have been placed on high alert.

However, it is being noted that even bigger protest will be carried out in the course of the week and students intend to make it 'massive' and for it to 'carry' a message. A source told us that "South Africans do not hold monopoly to violence" and strategic plans have been made to systematically target South African businesses in Nigeria.

Telecoms giant, MTN, on its part have condemned the xenophobic attacks in South Africa and have told the SA government to provide strong measures against the spread. They also warned Nigerians that over 6,000 Nigerians will be forced out of work if MTN relocates to South Africa.

They called for peace and promised that South African businesses in Nigeria will continue to hold in high esteem the values and tenets of the Nigerian spirit of entreprenueralship and industry.

  2. I don't think we need to approach this issue in such a way. Two wrongs don't make a right.
