Every
time innocent lives are taken in the United States with a gun, it brings tears
to my eyes. It is quickly discarded as another statistics of gun deaths but if
we look at it very well, lives are too precious to be wasted in such a way. The
families and loved ones of those who died in the horrible gunning will forever
live in patented gloom and despair knowing that it was a useless and avoidable
way to die.
I
watched Piers Morgan on CNN after the several school shootings that took
children's lives in Sandy Hook and the rest of it and my soul bled. Young ones
that could have the solution to one or many challenges the world could be
facing; athletes, engineers, presidents and inventors just needlessly wasted on
the alter of egocentric archaic gun laws. Why can't guns be controlled? Why
can't we have laws restricting people from having high powered rifles used in war front banned on home ground?
Yeah,
I know this latest shooting was in a military barracks and only military personnel were affected but it begs the question; ain't we all just tired of all this shooting? Another needless killings et
al? I think serving soldiers should be forced into therapy classes when they
return from war front to avoid such killings in the nearest future.
"There
is no indication that this incident is related to terrorism, though we are not
ruling anything out. We
have confirmed there are three victims who were killed and the shooter was
killed. There are 16 injured" Lt
Gen Milley said. "He
was using (the killer) a 45. calibre Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol that was
purchased recently. He was not in the process of being transferred out of the military."
My people will say "Oro agba ti'o se la ro, ase la le" which translate as; "The word of the wise man always come to fruition. Piers Morgan's words might just come to haunt America sooner or later.
